History

The origins of ASEJUR go back to 1967, when Max Doninelli (1942-2014) and Mario Quintana (1945-2005), along with other young colleagues, opened a small law firm in San Jose. The firm was established under the name of Asesores Jurídicos Asociados (Legal Advisers Associated).

The new firm’s focus was business law. Since its inception, it was devoted to exceed its clients’ expectations with hard teamwork from specialized lawyers.

Soon, Max and Mario, inseparable friends, became prominent lawyers. Their careers were filled with success. Since then, the firm has had a long and distinguished life, widely recognized for its leading services in corporate law.

The founding lawyers recruited outstanding young people, which were induced in the strict values of the firm and trained with their valuable know-how. Unlike other firms, ASEJUR maintained a continuous training program for young lawyers for more than four decades. This pursuit of excellence in our lawyers ensures compliance with the highest professional standards.

In 2000, with the growth experienced by the company, we celebrated the new millennium with the opening of new headquarters in the Barrio Los Yoses, San José, our current location.

In 2005 ASEJUR was invited to join “International Law Firms”, a global network of independent law firms. Our firm has been an active member ever since.

Today, the lawyers for ASEJUR honor the memory of its founders, perpetuate their strong legacy and continue building the great work they began half a century ago.
